About Me
Welcome to DiabetesAndSpondylitis.com, a space dedicated to navigating life with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS).
Who I Am
Hi, I’m the creator of this website. I live with the daily challenges of Type 1 Diabetes and Ankylosing Spondylitis, two chronic conditions that require constant care, attention, and resilience. Over the years, I’ve learned that managing one condition is tough, but balancing two can feel overwhelming. This is why I created this platform—to share my journey and help others who are walking a similar path.
Why This Website Exists
When I was first diagnosed (30 years ago) I struggled to find resources that addressed the unique challenges of living with both T1D and AS. There were plenty of blogs and communities focused on one condition or the other, but very little that spoke to the overlap—the physical, emotional, and logistical realities of juggling multiple chronic conditions.
Through DiabetesAndSpondylitis.com, I hope to:
- Provide valuable insights into managing life with T1D and AS.
- Build a supportive community where we can share experiences, advice, and encouragement.
- Offer practical tips on everything from blood sugar management during flares to staying active with AS.
